The OpenCoffee Club was started by Saul Kline of Index Partners in London to encourage entrepreneurs, developers and investors to organise real-world informal meetups to chat, network and grow. Read the blog post that started the ball rolling.
Globally there are over 2,500 members of OpenCoffee with groups meeting in 83 locations from Amsterdam to Zagreb, and with all continents represented (except Antartica – anyone in BAS want to set up OpenCoffee Halley?).
Each group runs autonomously and we meet fortnightly on a Tues from about 8.30am in The Boston Tea Party on Park Street. The event calendar on the main page has the next few planned get togethers. The exceptions are Demo Sessions where entrepreneurs can demonstrate their latest product / service / innovation and ask the attendees for thoughts, comments, and ideas on next steps.
The format is informal, business. There are no presentations, guest lists, or specific topics. Everyone comes along to grow businesses in the Bristol / West of England area and there’s never a shortage of interesting people to engage with.
Open Coffee Bristol is organised by me (John Bradford, Managing Partner, jbsh LLP) and all are welcome.
Hi John
I am a Director at http://www.qualifa.co.uk we provide qualified lead generation services to technology & digital media companies. We provide a ‘pay on results’ service to secure new business meetings for our clients – whereby they only pay if we book the right level of introduction meeting based on your criteria.
After successfully running the business in Brighton we have opened a second office in Bristol, we’re listed with Bristol Media as a preferred supplier and already have clients such as Beef, Sift, Whype & Mango on board.
Please can you let me know how to join Open Coffee Bristol?
Thanks
Darren
Hi Darren,
You can join the LinkedIn group and of course come along to a meeting, next one is Tues, 24 Aug from about 8.30am in The Boston Teaparty on Park St.
Hi, a bit late notice I’m afraid but I’ll be along to see what this coffee mess is all about (Lightning Hopkins ref.) tomorrow morning, see you there.
